As we have done previously, the State Government will provide a day of free train travel in the near future as a thank-you to passengers for their patience during this week’s industrial action.
The free services will operate from the first service to last service and further information will be released in the near future.
Travel will be free for all passengers on the Seaford and Tonsley, Outer Harbor and Grange, Gawler and Belair lines.
Metrocard validators on all trains will be switched off to ensure customers are not charged on this day.
The State Liberals announcement is just copying a precedent the Government set in May this year following disruptions on the Seaford line.
Quotes attributable to Acting Transport and Infrastructure Minister Martin Hamilton-Smith

Our train passengers across a number of lines have been inconvenienced, however they have been extremely patient during the disruptions and this is one way of thanking them.
Further details regarding the ride free day will be released in the near future.
