The South Australia – India Engagement Strategy was released in October 2012. This Strategy in 2016 represents a refinement of the original strategy in view of changing circumstances in India and developments in South Australia. It is informed by the experiences of the past three years, especially those of the business community.
The key changes include:
• Prioritisation of a new Sister-State relationship with Rajasthan, one that is expected to bring greater focus to facilitate opportunities for South Australian businesses, educational institutions and other organisations
• Greater recognition of the opportunities for South Australian services exports in India in the context of the Strategy’s sectoral focus
• A reinvigorated platform of engagement comprising regular business missions, a new business education program, greater connections with the Indian diaspora in South Australia and activation of the South Australia Club in India
• Building stronger awareness of South Australia’s brand in India.
